Announcement from MISU

"In the event of no Union members running for a sabbatical position, Union Council can nominate a non-Union person to run for the post in a subsequent by-election, subject to seeking advice from the Advisory Committee" - Article 11.3.6, MISU Constitution. As no members of Mary I Students’ Union put themselves forward to run for the position of Vice-President in the
By-Election which was scheduled to take place on Thursday 4th October, Union Council, at their meeting on 10.10.2018, implemented Article 11.3.6 of the MISU Constitution and they nominated Alison Dervan (former MISU Vice-President 2015/2016) to stand in a by-election for MISU Vice-President for the 2018/2019 Academic Year. This By-Election will take place on Tuesday 23rd October 2018 on both the Limerick and Thurles Campuses.

By-Election for Vice President

As the position of MISU Vice-President is now vacant, a By-Election will take place for Vice-President. As approved by Union Council, nominations for the position of Vice President will open on Friday 28th of September and close on Tuesday 2nd of October at 12pm.

Job Specification Teachers of English for an English Summer Campwhere Spanish children and teenagers enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, sports, drama and games all through English. We employ English speaking group leaders from different countries around the world which gives ‘the Village’ a real international feel.

Location

Two hours outside Madrid.  The programme takes place in an old monastery that has been converted into a 4 star hotel resort and we have exclusive rights to the resort during the month of July.

June 28 to July 26, 2018

Candidate Profile

  • ·Native English speakers
  • ·TEFL qualification/ trainee teachers/PE teachers
  • ·No previous experience needed
  • ·Outgoing, dynamic, motivated group leaders who are into sport, music, dance, drama, outdoor activities and games in general

Terms & Conditions

1 month contract

Salary 1000 net/month

Full board accommodation at hotel (3 meals & afternoon snack)

Laundry service

Transport to and from Madrid
