It is Positive Mental Health Week at MIC, and we are holding different online/in-person events to encourage positivity and get people talking about their Mental Health.
There will be Positive Posters displayed around campus and online throughout the week, we will also have the following
- Walk & Chats - meet at 6 pm outside Tailteann and walk the 3 bridges, meet John outside the college (Thurles campus) at 6 and begin the walk around Thurles town.
- Connect Café - Come along for free tea/coffee and chats - 12-1 pm in G5 (Thurles) on Tuesday, 12th October and 11-1 & 3-4 pm in the Student Lounge (Limerick) on Wednesday 13th October. (No walk-ins allowed, you must register to attend)
- Q&A with Paula Seth - Tuesday, 12th October at 12 pm
- We also have a Speaker from MoMe, who will be on Zoom from 11-12 pm on Thursday, 14th October, they will introduce practices and techniques over an hour on the following topics:

- The Benefits of taking Mindful Moments in our Busy Lives - small moments - big results
- taking small moments of calm in your busy day and managing stress while you study - the power in pausing
- the clearer and calmer our minds are the more we learn
- the benefits of Mindfulness and starting a Meditation Practice that works for you
- Shifting your perspective - the benefits of Mindfulness and Gratitude Practice in our overall health and wellbeing
- Random Acts Of Kindness - we are encouraging everyone to do a Random Act of Kindness - send yours to us and we will share them out & choose a winner.
- We also have a Positivity Box (located in the Forum in Limerick and on the Ground Floor in Thurles), please jot down your anonymous messages of positivity and we will read them out on Social Media.
