The Badminton club was a new club last year and has proved very popular! They have a great time playing a sport they all enjoy in a laid back and friendly atmosphere. The Badminton Club isn’t an exclusive club for the world’s sportiest people, it’s the total opposite! It’s a club for everyone to take part in, so don’t be afraid to wander down to Tailteann, pick up a racket and just have a bat round!! You will be surprised about how quickly you will pick it up and I guarantee you that you will enjoy yourself. It is also a great way to relieve stress or just get healthy! If you are the type of person who doesn’t know one end of the shuttle from another, never fear because the Badminton club is getting a trainer this year and even if you are able to play, you can still get a few lessons to improve your smash and sneaky winning shots! Getting a trainer will also mean that the club members will be able to become involved in tournaments, so anyone who is interested can put their name down for the team at any of the club meetings or badminton evenings. .
