Repeat exams usually take place during the last week of August or the first week of September. You can only repeat a maximum of 4 modules provided you have completed 2 academic semesters in the year.  

If you have only completed one semester in an academic year you can only repeat a maximum of 2 modules.

All modules other than ‘I’ Grades are capped at a C3. ‘I’ Grades are uncapped.

You can only repeat an exam if you received a grade lower than a C3, i.e. D1, D2, F, NG, ’I’

You need to have a QCA of at least 2.00 to continue on into the next year of your prgramme. You can't go into the next year if you have deficient grades i.e. F, NG or ‘I’.

Link-in repeats taken the following academic year are also capped at a C3.

There is a fee payable on registration for repeating all modules except ‘I’ grades.
