Demonstration in Dublin

There will be a demonstration by student teachers on Wednesday afternoon next, 22nd February, beginning in Trinity College and marching to Leinster House. The assembly time in Trinity College is scheduled for 3.30pm, with the march to start at 4pm. The three teacher unions, INTO, TUI and ASTI, support this demonstration. 

The Students' Unions in each of the Education Colleges are working together on combating these issues in conjunction with the INTO. We will also be making a submission to the DPER about the potential impact of the withdrawal of allowances from new entrants to the profession. 

MISU will provide a bus free of charge for those interested in attending. Those wishing to go must sign up in the SU before noon on Tuesday.
