Being more of a James Bond fan, I struggled to imagine another spy who in my eyes could compete, but when I was introduced to a certain Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible Four: Ghost Protocol I have to admit I was pretty impressed (Cue an “I told you so!” from Smug Boyfriend).

I found myself last Friday night being hauled to this film by Himself on the promise of pick and mix and a good
storyline, to say I was sceptical was being way too nice.
As the lights went down and the popcorn crunchers around us began their almost orchestral tune, I found my previous misconceptions melted away and my surprised heart strings pulled Lionsgate’s Warrior began.
We were introduced to Tommy (Hardy), a pill popping haunted ex marine and his recovering alcoholic father (Nolte) who after many years of having no relationship begin training Tommy for the biggest Mixed Martial Arts competition in the world.
Unbeknown to the divided duo, Brendan (Edgerton), Tommy’s elder brother, has fallen on hard times and in one last effort to save his home and family enters the MMA tournament purely for the purse. Needless to say the estranged brothers meeting is emotional explosive and well worth watching.
