An Siopa is run by MISU and is located on the ground floor of the Tara Building. We’re known for our warm and welcoming atmosphere all thanks to the legendary An Siopa Staff. We bring you the things you need at the lowest prices to keep as much money as possible in your pocket!

 

An Siopa Opening Hours:  (Term Time Only)  

  • Monday-Thursday     8.30am - 8.00pm
  • Friday                          8.30am – 4.30pm

 

 

Books

Course books for some of the subjects taught in the college are available to buy from the office. Check out the books section for more info on what’s available! Books

If you are interested in selling your books the Students' Union will be holding a book fare at the start of each semester where you can sell your old books and also pick up some bargains from others who are trying to sell their books.

 

 

Hot Drinks

So it’s Monday morning, you’re in for your lecture at nine and you need something to give you a kick start! Our coffee is definitely worth a try. It’s fair-trade, fresh and good value! Our milky lattés and frothy Cappuccinos are also worth a try but if you’re not a coffee person then grab yourself a cup of fair-trade tea, a herbal tea or even a hot chocolate topped with frothy milk and chocolate sprinkles….mmm delicious! Ask one of the staff for your loyalty card which entitles you to a free hot drink on your 5th&10th purchase
 

Stationery

Stock up on Stationery

You can get a wide range of stationery from an Siopa and if it’s not there then you just have to ask one of the staff and we will try our best to get it for you.

For Teaching Practice you can stock up on crepe paper, chart paper, chalk, markers, colouring pencils, flash cards and folders. If you need to buy biros or an A4 pad just drop by and we’ll sort you out.

 

Lunch, Light Bites, Healthy Options & Tasty Treats

If you want to fill up on something tasty for your lunch then you can pick up something from our wide selection of sandwiches,  toasties, wraps and baps. If you just fancy something light you can pick up a scone or a muffin to have with your tea or coffee. You can also get a cup a soup to take away if you’re running to a lecture.  For a healthy option try a piece of fruit or a smoothie. We have introduced a fruit loyalty card where your 5th&10th piece of fruit is free! Feel like a bit of chocolate or a bag of crisps? We’ll fix that with our wide selection of chocolate, crisps, flapjacks & cookies

 

Run out of Credit?

Then why not drop by and top up your phone, we sell credit for meteor, 02, Vodafone and 3 and you don’t have to pay anything extra. If it’s €10 then it’s €10! 

You can also get credit for your Parkmagic account.

 

Newspapers

We sell the Irish Times, the Examiner, the Irish Independent & the Star @ discounted prices.

 

Top up your Printing Account

To print in the college you will need to top up your printing account with a laser or credit card. If you don’t have either, An siopa has a payzone terminal which allows you to avail of the following services:
  • 3V Cards- register for your 3v Card at www.3v.ie. Your 3V card will be sent out to your address. Bring the card to An Siopa (or any Payzone Retailer) to top your 3V card. 3V can be used on any site which accepts VISA
  • Master Card World Wide Money - this is a credit card which you can buy in An Siopa for €6. The card pack comes with a One Time Loading card that allows you to load up to €150 onto the card immediately. The MasterCard can be used straight away to make purchases instore. To load further funds onto your card and to enable the MasterCard for use at ATMs and online, simply register at www.payzonemoney.ie
